Chad Koch is the Newspaper Associate in the Center For Digital Research in the Humanities. In this role he works on the National Digital Newspaper Program via a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. It is Chad’s principal responsibility to generate metadata from historic newspaper microfilm in support of the digitization process. In addition to validating newly digitized materials, Chad also provides support to the CDRH’s Nebraska Newspapers project, and coordinates with representatives of the Library of Congress before inclusion of materials in both the Chronicling America and Nebraska Newspapers websites.
Chad graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Arts in both History and English. A native of central Nebraska, he now lives in Lincoln, Nebraska with his wife and two precocious cats.
