Diversity Internships Offered Periodically
The Center for Digital Research in the Humanities (CDRH) is a leading, internationally recognized digital humanities center that is advancing cultural inquiry for the public good. Periodically, our community of scholars will invite students from minority serving institutions (MSI) to apply for an internship in the Center. To be eligible, an applicant must be post BA.
Interns will gain experiences in digital humanities by working directly on diverse cultural heritage digital projects with technologists and faculty on Mondays through Thursdays. The interns will spend Fridays meeting with community representatives, discussing assigned digital humanities readings, learning about the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the city of Lincoln through planned field trips, and sharing digital humanities experiences based on the internship.
While no previous experience in digital humanities or specific technical skills are required, the individual must have a demonstrated love of the humanities and a strong desire to gain relevant computer skills.
During the final week of the internship, interns will submit a short report of their activities and outcomes and complete an evaluation.
