Leslie Working

First year Ph.D., History
Studies: I have an MA in History and another in Museum Studies, both from UNL.
I am interested in female activism in the late 19th and early 20th
centuries; my dissertation research focuses on the Great Plains.
Future: My work in the museum field has sparked an ongoing interest in public
history and I hope to combine that interest with the creation of digital
history projects for institutions, public and private.
Other: I have a passion (at times troubling) for mid-twentieth century popular
culture and decorative arts.
Projects: Envisaging the West: Thomas Jefferson and the Roots of Lewis and
